Neil Maroni

Neil MaroniNeil started his career in finance in London in 1971 and worked with legal and financial practices in the City on corporate pensions and investment. During the 1980's Neil developed his career as a manager progressing to senior management in the sales division of a leading public company in financial services, before leaving to launch a new venture, Executive Focus Limited in 1986. His experience as a founder director and chief executive extended over the following five years and included one business failure and one successful flotation on the London stock exchange.

The following six years were spent in a wide range of consulting roles for major UK organisations involved in exploitation of new information technologies. Clients included the Employment Department's Learning Technologies Unit, Logica Cambridge, Olivetti Europe, Ogilvy and Mather and Acorn Computers. Project Management and management of multidisciplinary teams were key skills developed during this period. In 1997 a private company MSW Technology plc brought in Neil as part of an acquisition, to strengthen the senior team during the build up to a full floatation on the London Stock Exchange in 1998. His executive roles at MSW included business systems, IT and Quality systems and during the final new business drive pre-flotation he lead a team in a major competitive tender and was awarded the contract adding significantly to the flotation value.

After leaving MSW Neil broadened his consulting portfolio with organisations offering international programmes for development of top team performance and creative planning at board level. He is an enthusiastic user and coach in concept mapping and visualisation techniques both on-line and using traditional media.
