Chris Drane
Chris Drane is Professor of Computer Systems Engineering at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). His specific area of research is positioning systems. He is the author of two books, two patents, and numerous papers dealing with positioning systems. Prior to joining UTS, he worked in variety of positions including with a aerospace electronics company in the nited States, a computing consultancy company, as technical manager in a high technology start up, and a principal research fellow at the University of Sydney. He has spent sabbatical leaves at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom and at Intelligent Transportation Systems in Washington DC. Over the past three years he has been analysing the University system and plans to complete a book on this subject by the middle of 2001.
