"The Future has an Ancient Heart"

The Pari Center for New Learning is located in the quiet hilltop village of Pari, some 25km south of Siena. It was created by F. David Peat and Maureen Doolan as a congenial location where people can think, learn, meet together, carry out their projects and enjoy the surrounding environment and community.

Its educational activities include courses and workshops held at Pari, extended learning programs and mentoring.

The Center arranges conferences that reflect its philosophy. It supports discussion forums hosted on this site and from time to time offers web-based learning.

The Center welcomes thinkers, writers, artists, academics, thinkers and all those who would like to spend time in Pari to work, think and join in the ongoing discussions at the Center.

The Legacy of David and Sarah Bohm
Pari June 13-16, 2008

The Pari Center is hosting a conference to explore the scientific and philosophical legacy of David Bohm. For reasons of space this conference is by invitation only an includes a number of David Bohm's former students and associates. A short report of the meeting will be posted on this site.

A public meeting on Bohm's legacy will be held in London on November 8 of this year.

New papers are regularly being posted in the Library section of this web site. These include essays on globalization, religion, creativity, consciousness, chaos theory, education and general cultural issues.The Library also contains our Newsletters.

Gentle Action

David Peat is currently completing work on a new book "Gentle Action" to be published this Fall. The book deals with alternatives to current forms of intervention which can at time be disruptive to communities, economies and societies. It also explores the whole issue of trust in science, medicine and the market place. The library section of this site does contain a number of short essays exploring Gentle Action.

Peat would be very interested to receive examples of Gentle Action at dpeat@fdavidpeat.com.
