New Science / New Paradigms: Reading List

The course will range over a wide variety of ideas and will touch on topics in science, psychology, linguistics, Native American world view, art and so on. Many of these ideas are discussed in David Peat's essays. Copies of these can be downloaded from Peat's website or purchased for a nominal cost during the conference.

While it is not strictly necessary to do any reading before the course it would help to familiarize yourself with some of the ideas. Therefore you may like to look over the following of David Peat's books:

The Blackwinged Night: Creativity in Nature and Mind, Helix Books, Cambridge, Mass, 2000

Synchronicity: The Bridge between Matter and Mind, Bantam Books

Blackfoot Physics, Fourth Estate, London. (The US edition of this book, entitled Lighting the Seventh Fire is now out of print. A new, updated version will be published soon by Phanes Press.)

Infinite Potential: The Life and Times of David Bohm, Addison Wesley

Co authored with John Briggs

Looking Glass Universe, Touchstone Books

Turbulent Mirror, Harper Collins
